The following off-campus mental health emergency resources are available 24/7:

 

Northeast PA Hotlines and Urgent Resources:

  • Helpline Services Directory (available 24/7 for local resources)
  • Community Counseling Services of NEPA (available 24/7 for crisis services)
  • Victims Resource Center (available 24/7 for relationship violence or sexual assault)
  • Domestic Violence Service Center (available 24/7 for relationship violence)

Misericordia University cares about you and your family's total health management - mental, emotional, and physical.  For that reason, the University provides an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no cost to you.

CAPS Center Consultation and Referral Services (non-emergency)

To support students' access to off-campus community resources, the CAPS Center is available for non-emergency consultation and referral services.  The CAPS Center also maintains an extensive directory of referral information for a variety of services available in our local community.

Together, we can discuss your concerns, offer recommendations about potential services and resources to best match your needs, and provide guidance for accessing those.  Consultation appointments may be made anytime online:
